JAMES NICHOLS, 81

LAKE WALES -- Mr. James Herman Nichols of Lake Wales died of cancer Thursday (Sept. 29, 2005) at home. He was 81.

Born in Wilson, N.C., on Jan. 9, 1924, he came to Lake Wales from Miami in 1978. He was a retired supervisor for the city of Miami. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife, Annabelle H. Nichols; stepson, Bill Corley, Norco, Calif.; brother, Frank Nichols, Wilson, N.C.; two stepgrandchildren.
