James Franklin Mercer, Sr., 85

James Franklin Mercer of Lake Wales passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

He was born February 24, 1939 in Bartow. James was a retired truck driver and enjoyed fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Delila Mercer; step-sons, Gary Foust and Roy Phillips, II. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Lynn Mosher of Lake Wales and Deanna Dawn Spiller; sons, James Franklin Mercer, Jr. of Frostproof, and Daniel Wayne Mercer (Danielle Marie) of Lake Wales; step-daughters, Rene Arlt and Selina Vanlanot; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Mary Holland Park in Bartow.
