James Alfred Mcclendon

James Alfred McClendon of Frostproof passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born July 4, 1947 in Lake Wales to the late William A. & Nelma Tomberlin McClendon; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a postal clerk and carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 37 years and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Harrell McClendon; daughter, Christy Lynn Bretch (Michael) of Jacksonville; sons, Tyson McClendon (Alison) of Frostproof and James McClendon (Elizabeth) of Mountain Home, ID; sister, Helen Ann Yates of Apopka; brother, Johnny McClendon of Murfreesboro, TN; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
