FROSTPROOF -- Mr. James Edward Manning of Frostproof died of heart failure Friday (March 3, 2006). He was 67.

Born April 7, 1938, in Carbondale, Ill., Mr. Manning moved to Frostproof from Florida City 36 years ago. He served in the Army. He was a production manager for Procter & Gamble Concentrate Plant. He was Baptist.

Mr. Manning is survived by his wife, Betty Manning; son, Joey Manning, Orlando; sister, Mary Manning, Frostproof; and two grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Frostproof. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
