James "Jimmy" Stokes

Jimmy "Cowboy" Stokes, 70  Jimmy Stokes of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Saturday January 21st 2017 at his home in Haines City, Florida. He was born on December 22nd 1946 in Lake Wales, Florida to the late Glen Stokes and Helen (Jenkins) Stokes. He was a life long cattle rancher to where he was with the Creek Ranch for 40 plus years following the Asana Ranch. He was a man of wisdom, laughter, guidance, great stories and most of all a down to earth man that touched many lives with his warm caring heart. He survived by his wife Rhonda Stokes of Haines City, son Clayton Stokes of Haines City, daughters Audria Stokes of Haines City, Jamie Harrell of Davenport, mother Helen Stokes of Lake Wales, sister Glennis Stokes (Tim Glover) of Lake Wales, brothers David Stokes (Sherry Stokes) of Lake Hamilton, Ronald Stokes of Lake Wales and Stewart Stokes of Lake Wales. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday January 25, 2017 with the funeral service being held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 with pastor Gerry King officiating. With interment at Lake Wales cemetery.
