James Leonard Hoyt, 85

James Leonard Hoyt of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales under the care of Vitas Hospice.

He was born June 27, 1937 in Exeter, New Hampshire to the late Thomas and Margaret Hoyt; he has been a resident of Lake Wales for over 30 years. James was an engineer and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Grace; son, Dana Hoyt in 2017; and brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah McCaffery and husband Mike of Somersworth, New Hampshire, and Deirdre Hoyt of Methuen, Massachusetts; son, Davin Hoyt and wife Lori of Haverhill, Massachusetts; daughter-in-law, Laurie Hoyt of Lawrence, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
