James Earl Hines Jr.

James Earl “Jimmy” Hines, 78 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 22, 1937 in Frostproof, Florida to the late James E. and Ruth Hines. He has been a resident of the area since May 2014 coming from Davenport, Florida. He was a General Contractor. He was a graduate of Frostproof High School class of 1955 and after one year of College he went in the United States Army and was in the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg, NC and then he finished his Bachelor’s degree at Florida State University. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, nature and bird watching, he was an avid Seminole fan and golfer.

He is preceded in death by his sister Bobbie Ruth Bradley.

He is survived by his wife Helen Hines of Winter Haven, Fl., daughters Rebecca Hines of Debary, Fl., Cheryl Hines and Husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of Malibu, CA, Sons Michael Hines and wife Mary of Sorrento, FL, Chris Hines and wife April of Crystal River, FL, grandchildren; Graham, Kailey, Griffin, Michael, Tori, Zoe, Jackson, Catherine and 6 step children, 8 step grandchildren.

Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Orchid Springs Clubhouse at 1 Island Way Winter Haven, Florida.
