JAMES  R.  “JIM”  FITCH,  73

James R. “Jim” Fitch of Lake Wales passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at his residence.

He was born February 12, 1947 in Scranton, PA to the late Fred and Mary Elizabeth Fitch; he came here to central Florida in 1984 following his military career. He was a retired engineer at Lockheed Martin, was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator on B-52 bombers. He was a former Mason, member of the Lake Ashton Veterans Association and enjoyed golfing and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol Fitch; daughters, Laura Brazzeal (Chad) of Naples and Amy Shertzer (Rich) of Monument, CO; son, Doug Fitch (Janet) of Union, KY; brothers, Fred Fitch of Jarrettsville, MD and Robert “Bob” Fitch of Milton, PA; and grandchildren, Hayden Shertzer, Ben Shertzer, Hope Brazzeal, and Bryce Brazzeal.

Graveside service will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Local services will be scheduled at a later date.
