James Bruce “Jim” Jones, 51, of Frostproof passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at J.F.K. Medical Center in West Palm Beach due to heart failure.
Born November 23, 1956 in Lake Wales; he was a lifelong resident of the Lake Wales and Frostproof area. He was a safety specialist for Palm Beach Agriculture, of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Navy. He vounteered for the American Red Cross, was a CPR instructor and volunteer of the year. He was a FSU fan and enjoyed fishing.
James was preceded by his father, James Alton Jones. Survivors include his daughter, Susan Heather Jones of Orlando; sons, Brian Anthony Jones of Englewood and William Scott Jones of Orlando; mother, Margie E. Smith of Frostproof; sisters, Maxine Cook of Frostproof and Jean Collins of Frostproof; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
