James Darrell Brinkley

James Darrell “Jim” Brinkley, 82, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born on September 3, 2016 in Seth, West Virginia to the late Emory and Lina (Hancock) Brinkley and he has been a resident of this area since 1980 moving here from Long Beach, California. He was a retire Food Service Manager for the U.S. Navy. Jim was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, was a veteran Korea and Viet Nam serving in the US Navy and he was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Noriko Brinkley; sisters, Carolyn Mills of Conn, Betty Nutter of Largo; brothers, John Brinkley of Lake Wales, Donald Brinkley of Conn., Gary Mills of Conn.; special friends, Goolsby and Louise Holland.
