LAKE WALES--James Edgar Brandon, age 86, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Monday, October 30, 2006. Mr. Brandon was a veteran of World War II and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.

He graduated from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. with a Masters Degree and went on to have a distinguished career as a teacher and school principal until he retired in 1977.

His wife of 58 years, Mary Simmons Brandon of Lake Wales, son Jack Putnam Brandon of Lake Wales, son James Roper Brandon of Naples, Janet Brandon Zoccolillo of Boca Raton, Mark Paul Brandon of Naples, as well as seven grandchildren survive him. He will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.

The graveside service will be for family, and in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in memory of James Edgar Brandon to Good Shepherd Hospice, 106 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida, 33823.
