James Henry “Jim” Bolden, Sr., 81

James Henry “Jim” Bolden, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 19, 1941 in Lake Wales to the late Robert and Laura Bolden. Jim graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1959 and was a Production Manager for Alcoma Corporation for 37 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales and sat on the board for many years for the Polk County Youth Fair where he was very active in the committees. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking.

Jim was preceded in death by his son, James H. Bolden, Jr.; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Bolden, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Margaret Bolden; son, William “Billy” Bolden of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Bobby Bolden, Jared Bolden, and Jessica Proia; and great-grandchildren, Kiley, Kendal, Kenna, Jared, and Weston.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Fowler officiating.
