James Archer Black

James Archer Black, 84 of Lake Wales passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Grace Healthcare due to heart failure.

He was born April 24, 1930 in Dundee, Florida to the late Worth L. and Vallemaye (Stembridge) Black and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Hideko Black and Brother Earl Black.

Survivors include his cousin Norika Brinkley and her husband Jim of Lake Wales, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
