James David Albritton

James David Albritton, 83, passed away October 9, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.

He was born June 12, 1939 in Bartow, Florida to his parents, James 0. and Elisabeth A. Albritton. He and his recently deceased wife, Karen, resided in Clermont, Florida after living many years in Miami and Orlando. They enjoyed 58 wonderful years sharing life together.

He completed his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of South Florida in Business Administration specializing in Accounting.  He then studied and successfully passed and obtained his certification (the designation) as a Certified Public Accountant, CPA, which he used in a variety of occupations. Furthering his education, he then obtained a Master of Science Degree in management from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

He was preceded in death {by 2 months) by his wife of 58 years, Karen Albritton of Clermont, Florida, his parents James 0. and Elisabeth A. Albritton of Lake Wales, Florida. He is survived by two brothers, Art (Nita) Albritton and Bill (Toni) Albritton of Winter Haven, and a sister, Marjorie Alder of Lake Wales, and nieces and nephews Ross Culpepper of Lakeland, Michele Moses of Lake Wales, Jennifer Sapp of Winter Haven, Christi Bass of Orlando, Alex Albritton of Winter Haven, Andrew Albritton of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kurtis Bennett of Winter Haven, Derrick Bennett of Winter Haven, and Todd Lockwood of Lakeland and their families, and many great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Marion Nelson Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022 with a visitation prior starting at 6:00 p.m.
