Jacques "Jack" Dunlap of Lake Wales went home with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born October 5, 1930 in Johnson City, NY to the late Clare and Mery (Dardenne) Dunlap; and has been a resident of the Lake Wales area since 1994. Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof, and was a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughters, Patricia Cahill of Martinsville, NJ, Ellen M. Hall of Endicott, NY, Marlene D. Martino of Binghamton, NY and Barbara J. Carlson of Remsen, NY; sons, David J. Dunlap of Conklin, NY, Douglas J. Dunlap of Industry, PA, Daniel J. Dunlap of Binghamton, NY, Donald J. Dunlap of Greene, NY, Darrell J. Dunlap of Binghamton, NY, and Dana J. Dunlap of Binghamton, NY; one sister; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof, with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lighthouse Ministries (P.O. Box 3112, Lakeland, FL 33802), Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches (P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064), First United Methodist Church of Frostproof (150 Devane Street, Frostproof, FL 33843), or Good Shepherd Hospice (105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823).
