Jacqueline Wideroe Allen

Jacqueline Wideroe Allen of Lake Wales passed away to be with the Lord Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born April 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Harry and Mamie Elkins Wideroe; and came to Lake Wales from Tampa 38 years ago. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, a legal secretary for Walter Bell, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and past president of B.P.W. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and sketching.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband, Lance Allen in 1991. Survivors include her daughters, Lynne Albert of Tampa and Eileen Roland of Tampa; son, Richard G. Roland, Jr. (Ada) of Tampa; two grandchildren, Jeremy Albert of Atlanta, GA and Amanda Roland of Tampa; sister-in-law, Irene Rossi of Tampa; nephews, Clay Kilgore and Daniel Kilgore both of Tampa.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM, Friday, January 22, 2010 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.
