Jackson Andrew Kelly

Jackson A. “Jack” Kelly of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City.

He was born November 6, 1954 in Fayetteville, WV to the late Ray Oscar & Molly Agnes Kelly; and he came here from Panama Canal in 1995. He was a dispatcher for Bynum Transport and of the Catholic faith. He retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. During his military career, he served in Vietnam, the occupation of Korea and the Just Cause Conflict in Panama Canal. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed shopping at Bass Pro Shop. He was a people person with a host of friends and a dedicated family man.

Survivors include his wife, Maria I. Kelly; daughter, Vanessa M. Kelly of Babson Park; son, Stephen Kelly and wife, Veronica of Lake Wales; sister, Dorothy Ball of Stumptown, WV; brothers, Jerry Kelly of Auburndale, Paul Kelly of Lake Wales, Ray “JB” Kelly of Oak Hill, WV; three granddaughters, Samira, Stephanie and Lianah Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 6:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5:00 PM until service time.
