David Sarvis, 93

David Sarvis of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Life Care in Winter Haven.

He was born April 19, 1928 in Miami to the late Thomas and Georgia Sarvis; he moved to Lake Wales from Fort Lauderdale in 1984. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired self-employed contractor and a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

David was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Sarvis; brothers, Wesley Sarvis, Munroe Sarvis, and Thomas Sarvis, Jr.; sister, Valeria Sutorus; and son-in-law, Roger Clingan. He is survived by his wife, Magdalene Sarvis; daughter, Donna S. Clingan; sons, Dwight Tillman (Chris Sharkey) of Greenwood, Bobby Tillman (Noel) of Melbourne, and Timothy Tillman (Molly) of Daphne, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will be held at Tallahassee National Cemetery on April 22, 2022.
