Isabella May “Izzy” Murtha of Fedhaven passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born December 16, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Delia (Boyle) Sheridan; she came here from South Brunswick, NJ in 2001. She was a retired inspector for Fedder’s Corp. in Edison, NJ and a member of St. Leo the Great’s Catholic Mission. Following her retirement she worked at the Fedhaven Post Office and enjoyed bingo and card playing.

Izzy was preceded in death by her son, Harold William Laland in 1965. Survivors include her daughters, Ilene Grace Laland of Silver Springs, MD and Andrea Laland Henry of Medford, NJ; son, John Walsh of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Anna Theresa “Terry” Weber of Fedhaven; sister-in-law, Maryann Sheridan of Fords, NJ; 9 grandchildren, including Sean Allen, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews..

Memorial services will be held at St. Leo the Great’s Catholic Mission in Fedhaven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
