Irvin “Junior” Johnson passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at his residence in Frostproof.

Born November 27, 1922 in Dale County, AL; he came here in 1936. He was the owner and operator of Johnson’s Service Station for many years, a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, boating and family times.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Johnson of Frostproof; sons, John Johnson of Riverview and Mike Johnson of Frostproof; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating.
