Iris Delia Perez, 78

Iris D. Perez of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

She was born December 13, 1945, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Vicente and Rufa Cruz. Iris was a Police Officer in Puerto Rico and of the Christian Faith.

Iris was a woman of faith. Her calling was singing to the Lord, helping, and serving. Iris was very persistent on every project she started. No matter how difficult things seemed to be for her, it was possible.

Iris is survived by her husband, Angel Perez; daughters, Wanda Cintron and husband Mark Cardona of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Yadira Simunek and husband Dean of Coral Springs, Florida; son, Frankie Cintron and wife Carmen of Haines City, Florida; Siblings, Vicente “Junior” Cruz and wife Idalia of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, Juan “Piro” Cruz and wife Modesta of Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, and Nereida “Yeyita” Cruz of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
