Iris Kay Kirkland

Iris Johnson Kirkland of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born June 26, 1954 in Lake Wales, Florida and has been a lifelong resident of Polk County. She was in Retail Sales for Bealls Department Store in Lakeland; she was a massage therapist, C.N.A., enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, going out with family and friends and helping others. She attended the Church in the Mall

Iris was preceded in death by her daughter, Domonique Kirkland and parents

Survivors include her daughter, Olivia S. (Kenneth) Knox of Babson Park; sister, Marcia Tolson of Lake Wales, Connie Johnson of California; brothers, Ronald and Roy C. Johnson both to Lake Wales; 1 grandson Trevor

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Moffitt Cancer Center or Halley’s Clinic in Winter Haven.
