FROSTPROOF -- Mrs. Irene L. Shirley of Frostproof died of pneumonia Monday (June 12, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 73.

Born in Frostproof on Dec. 22, 1932, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker. She was a Protestant.

Mrs. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Shirley. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Davidson, Sharon Young, both of Frostproof; sons, Steve Shirley, Wilmington, N.C., David Shirley, St. Cloud, Alan Shirley, Johnson City, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Silver Hill Cemetery.
