Ida Karen Partin Carlton, 82

Ida Karen Partin Carlton of Quinlan, Texas passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 in McKinney, Texas.

She was born November 25, 1941 in Lake Wales to the late Judson and Ila Partin. Ida was a nurse anesthetist for 43 years, in which time she never lost a patient, before retiring.

Ida was preceded in death by her first husband, James Irwin Thompson in 1987; second husband, Richard Lamar Carlton in 2009; and brothers, Jack Partin and David Partin. She is survived by her daughters, Ila Karen Thompson (Christopher Sciarini) of Fort Myers, and Kimberly Dawn Word and son-in-law, Thomas Word of Quinlan, Texas; sister, Marla Outlaw (David) of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Averi Covarrubas, Dylan Ramage, Kristen Marlene Watson, Amanda Sellars, Lauren Faulks, and Ryan Sumpter; and many great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Friendship Methodist Church in Zolfo Springs.
