Hughie Linton, Jr. of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born July 22, 1928 in Portland, FL to the late Hughie Linton Sr. and Manilla Green Linton; he came here 80 years ago from Portland. He was a retired harvesting supervisor for Waverly Growers and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his sons, Larry Linton of Babson Park and David Linton and wife, Sarah of Winter Haven; step-daughter, Jan Lane of Winter Haven; niece, Sandra Earley; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
