Howard Shroyer

Howard Shroyer of Lake Wales passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at his residence.

He was born August 17, 1918 in Springfield, OH to the late Walter and Minnie (Mefford) Shroyer; and came to Lake Wales from Atlanta, GA in 1971. He was a mechanical engineer employed with Westinghouse, a member of the Golfview Baptist Church, and was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fixing things.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Duncan Shroyer; daughter, Lois Ann Linamen and her husband Herb of Auburndale; son, Fred Shroyer and his wife Betty of South Vienna, OH; sister, Mary Jane McFarland of Springfield, OH; brothers, Walt Shroyer of Springfield, OH, William Shroyer of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Golfview Baptist Church, Lake Wales.
