Homer C Clark Sr.

Homer C. Clark Sr., 90 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his residence.

He was born October 25, 1923 in Blountstown, Florida to the late Clifford Charles and Lovie (Tucker) Clark and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII. He was self-employed as a building contractor. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Lake Wales. Former member of the Masonic Lodge, he was an avid musician and was in his element when playing in his band on stage, he was always quick with a joke and ready to entertain.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Pearl Clark, Son Clifford Clark and step son Micheal Day.

Survivors include his wife Bettie Clark, son Ronald B. “Ronnie” and companion Pat Huggins of Salt Springs, Fl., Step Daughter Ronda Callaham and husband Charles of Lake Wales, Fl., 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home Lake Wales with Joe Martin Officiating. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery.
