Hilda H. O’Brien, 86

Hilda H. O’Brien of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born October 6, 1934 in Germany to the late Carl and Margaret Hoffman; she moved to Lake Wales as a child with her family. Hilda was a retired home healthcare worker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved the woods, but loved her grandchildren the most and was a wonderful grandmother.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Jack O’Brien in 1973. She is survived by her son, Thomas McClure, III of Lake Wales; sister, Carol Hoffman; brother, Harold Hoffman; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com .
