Hester Modlin

HESTER ANN MODLIN, 80

Hester A. Modlin of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Savannah Court.

She was born March 23, 1936 in Creswell, North Carolina to the late Frank and Statha (Sexton) Swain. She has been a resident of the area since 1996 coming from Jamesville, North Carolina. She was a homemaker. Hester spent many years as an active member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church in Jamesville, NC. Her belief was simple, be conservative with money matters and liberal with love and friendship. Hester will be missed on this earth as her robust and healthy soul travels to its next destination.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Modlin, grandson Travis Modlin and sister Marie Chesson.

Survivors include her son Larry Modlin and wife Jennifer of Southport, NC, grandson Chad Modlin of Oak Island, NC.
Thanks to everyone at Compassionate Care Hospice of Lakeland. Their expertise and attention was phenomenal. There will be no memorial service.
