Hester L. Jordon

Hester L. Jordon of Lake Wales passed away Monday, November 02, 2015 at Savannah Court.

She was born April 5, 1916 in Roxbury, VT to the late William H. & Lucy Pope; and came to the area from Roxbury, VT in 1953. She was a retired dietician from Webber College and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She was a former volunteer and staff member of the Lake Wales Care Center and a former volunteer for “Meals on Wheels”.

Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Jordon; her daughter, Nancy Croney; her son, David Jordon; sister, Susan Bruce; and brother, Fred Pope. Survivors include her son, Richard A. Pope and wife, Susan of Lake Wales; a brother, Emery Pope of Moreno Valley, CA; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
