Herbert G Siewert

Herbert G. “Herb” Siewert of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, September 03, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born March 13, 1932 in Toledo, OH to the late Herbert P. & Clara Siewert; and he moved to Frostproof from Temperance, MI in 1997. He was retired from Bedford Public Schools in Temperance, MI, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof and was a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Army/MASH. He enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible and sitting on the porch talking to his friends.

Herb was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Siewert in 1994. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Jennie Siewert; daughter, Donna Brown and husband, Charlie of Sylvania, OH; sons, Herbert Siewert Jr and wife, Doris of Richmond, VA, Donald Siewert and wife, Mary Jane of Virginia Beach, VA and Victor Siewert and wife, Kelly of Findlay, OH; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. .
