Herbert “Herb” Carlton Conner, 79, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

Born May 11, 1928 in Dothan, AL; he came here from Dothan 65 years ago. He was a retired supervisor for Citrus World and served in the U.S. Navy. He loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel Conner of Lake Wales; daughters, Bonnie and husband, David, Bohannon of Lake Wales; Shari and husband, Timmie Thomas of Lake Wales; sons, Danny and wife, Daryl, Conner of Haines City; Steve Conner of Lake Wales; sister, Mary Conner of Lake Wales; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until service time at 6:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
