LAKE WALES -- Mr. Henry W. Haines of Lake Wales died of a stroke Friday (Sept. 1, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 83.

Born Sept. 4, 1922, in Greenwich, Conn., Mr. Haines moved to Medford, N.J., 13 years ago. He worked as an insurance agent for the Prudential Insurance Co. He was a member of the Marlton Fire Company, New Jersey First Aid Squad, New Jersey, Saddlebag Men's Club, and Saddlebag Golf Club.

Mr. Haines is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred D. Haines, Lake Wales; daughter, Carol Haines, Lake Wales; son, Gary D. Haines, Greensboro, N.C.; brother, Reece Haines, Medford, N.J.; two grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Services will be at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Saddlebag Lake Memorial Garden or the American Cancer Society.
