Henry Carrier of Winter Haven passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born September 15, 1919 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Henri and Ella Carriere; he moved to Winter Haven from North Smithfield, Rhode Island in 1984. Henry was a retired truck driver and a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Winter Haven. He was the founder of Amvets Post #7 in Woonsocket and an avid cribbage player.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Yvette L. Carrier on February 15, 2013; two brothers; and seven sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Lillian Carrier of Winter Haven; sister, Alice Groleau of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; grandchildren, Ora Dubois and husband Brian of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Michelle Lemoine of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Daniel Bourget and wife Silvana of Lake Wales; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 in the chapel across from Saint Joseph’s Church in Winter Haven.
