Henry Campbell Bevis

Henry Campbell Bevis of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born July 15, 1940 in Arcadia to the late L. B. & Marjorie Bevis. He graduated from Lake Wales Senior High School and U.S.F. in Tampa. He was a retired accountant and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a passionate patriot. He was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and playing golf. He also loved the outdoors and took great pride in his yard. He will be remembered as a loving family man who enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon Bevis; daughters, Heather Bryant (Tab) of Lakeland and Stephanie Mortus (Marty) of Port Clinton, OH; brothers, Bart Bevis of Ashville, NC and Alton Bevis of Lake Wales; three grandchildren, Adam Gardner, Austin Bolyard and Avery Bryant; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Gardner.

Inurnment will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Florida National Cemetery.
