FROSTPROOF--Helen Roderick, 86, of Frostproof passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 due to cancer at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

Born August 28, 1921 in Mount Vernon, Arkansas; she came to Frostproof from Lake Wales 2 months ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the High Point Church in Lake Wales. She enjoyed going to church and was a great cook. She also loved flowers and could make anything grow.

Helen was preceded by her brother, Floyd Frye; and parents, Ferman & Ida Kathryn Frye. Survivors include her husband, Carl R. Roderick of Frostproof; daughter, Janis Lee & Roger Lee Eversole of Lake Wales; sisters, Freda Turner of Rochelle, IL; June & Warren Hall of Steward, IL; Jeanette VanNada of Millington, TN; sister-in-law, Naomi Wiseman of Lake Wales; 1 grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at High Point Church, Lake Wales.
