Helen Smith Maloney

Helen Smith Maloney of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Dove Health Care Center.

She was born December 15, 1911 in Hillsdale, MI to the late Ira D. & MayBelle Teats Smith; she came here in 1940 from Fort Meade, FL. She was a retired bookkeeper for Jahna Industries and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales.

Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Perry Smith in 1970 and second husband, James Maloney in 1980. Survivors include her son, Carroll A. Smith (wife-Cindy Roy) of Lake Wales; and one grandchild, Liesel R. Smith of Tallahassee.

Services are pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lake Wales Care Center-MOW, Meals on Wheels Program, 140 East Park Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida 33853.
