Helen Hartwig

Helen Joan Hartwig, 79 of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on December 22, 1936 in Lake Wales, Florida to the late Walter Carl and Helen Sophia (Schiller) Hartwig and she has been a resident of this area for the past 30 years moving here from Kentucky. She was a retired College Professor for the University of Kentucky. Joan was a member of the Artist Workshop in New Smyrna Beach.

Survivors include her Niece, Lynn Ryan and husband Darwin of Haines City; nephew, John Hartwig and wife Terri of Mulberry; brother, Walter Carl Hartwig and wife Patricia of Haines City.

Graveside service will be private at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
