Helen Bidwell Green

Helen Bidwell Green of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her residence

She was born October 8, 1916 in Warehouse Point, CT to the late Harold Ward & Helen Mary Bidwell; she came here 12 years ago from Bloomfield, CT. She was a retired bookkeeper for Tool & Equipment Distributors Inc. and of the Episcopal faith. She was member of the Order of Amaranth Charity Court #17 and served as the Grand Royal Matron of Connecticut in 1952. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine; and was a former member of the Mark Twain Masquers Theatre Group in Hartford, CT. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and the opera.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Green. Survivors include her niece, Barbara Clifford and husband, John of Rockville, CT; grandniece, Laura-Jeanne Pellerin and husband, Ransom Landry; and a grandnephew, Wesley Dale Newth and wife, Michelle.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 5, 2010 at the family's residence.
