Helen M. Fee (née Stowell), of Lake Wales, FL died on Friday, July 31, 2015 of cancer. Born in Lyndon, VT in 1939, she relocated her family from Boston and settled in Lake Wales in 1975.
Ms. Fee is survived by sons Edward Snavely (Elizabeth) of NC; James Snavely of Boston; daughter Lynne Snavely of Sebring, FL, sons Randy Snavely; and Dean Copson (Michelle) both of Lake Wales; several grandchildren; sister Beverly Whipple of Lake Wales; numerous other brothers and sisters in VT and NH; and her lifelong sister-in-spirit friend, Muriel Brown of ME.
Ms. Fee’s personal and professional life was enriched and encircled by the love she derived from her family, her gardening, and her cooking. She was happiest when blending any or all of the three into her daily routine. It is fair to say both Ms. Fee and her employer were blessed the day she began her professional duties at Mountain Lake in 1989 until her retirement in 2003. Ms. Fee gave and received for her love of cooking, thus finding that calling where passion and labor harmonize.
It is respectfully suggested that Ms. Fee is best remembered by asking those who knew her to reflect and thank a loved one who, like Ms. Fee, work tirelessly to make friends and family lives better.
At Ms. Fee’s request, she will be cremated without a ceremony. The family is planning a gathering in the immediate future to express their gratitude to and accept condolences from those who knew and felt for Ms. Fee. Please contact her son, Dean Copson at 863-528-8788 for details.
