Helen Slye Delegal

Helen Slye DeLegal of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1924 in Blair, WI to the late Lester W. & Gudfried (Frederixon) Slye; and she came here from St. Petersburg in 1953. She was a homemaker, a member of the Lake Wales Methodist Church, Babson Park Community Church and a charter member of the Lake Wales Little Theater. She sang concerts with June Felt all over Florida.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. DeLegal and two brothers, Robert F. Slye and Richard Slye. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon D. Bramlett of Orlando and Sandy L. DeLegal of Sedro-Woolley, WA; son, Steve E. DeLegal (Linda) of Port Charlotte; sister, Anne Lowry of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Hope and Krystal; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Xavier.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Bob Beckler officiating. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Lake Wales Little Theatre.
