Helen Mae Crews, 85

Helen Mae Crews of Lake Wales passed away on Saturday, September 08, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale.

She was born April 14, 1927 in Perry, Georgia to the late Luther W. and Willie B. (Stembridge) Grant and moved to Lake Wales at age 8. She was a Homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Crews and 3 brothers. Survivors include her 3 sons, David (wife Carol) of Lake Wales, Steven (Wife Phyllis) of Seneca, South Carolina and Jeff (Wife Tammy) of Lake Wales; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 sister Ann Moore (husband Charles) of Lake Wales.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Koon officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 1:00 PM until service time.

Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales or Golfview Baptist Church of Lake Wales.
