Helen Galloway Chavis, 80
Helen G. Chavis, 80 of Babson Park, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
She was born March 5, 1937 in Brevard, North Carolina to the late Echel and Vera (Bloxsom) Galloway. She has been a resident of the area since 1972 coming from Brevard, North Carolina. She was a nurse for 45 years for Florida Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frostproof.
She is preceded in death by her husband Colley Chavis, sister Patricia Wootten.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Sanchez and husband Donald Wayne of Bartow, FL, sons William “Rodney” Flynn and wife Sharon of Hopkinsville, KY, David A. Flynn and wife Monique of Brevard, NC, Kenneth V. Flynn and wife Carolyn of Penrose, NC, Charles M. Chappell, FL, sister Susan Warren and husband David of Brevard, NC,  Megan Terrell and Adam Foster, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2018 with service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
