Helen Jane Berrie, 86

Helen Jane Berrie of Lake Wales passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at her residence.

She was born January 19, 1937, in Lake Wales to the late Jesse and Jewette Green; she was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. Helen was a retired teacher from Lake Wales High School and a member of the Golfview Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian, part of the church prayer circle and touched many lives. Her past hobbies included crewel, crocheting and ceramics.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lewis Berrie in 1961. Survivors include daughter, Lyn Berrie Lynch of Lake Wales; son, Mark Berrie of Lake Wales; sisters, Linda Robertson and Nancy Kersey; three grandchildren, James Vickery, Angelique Vickery and Matthew Berrie (Noelle); and three great-grandchildren, Elyssa Vickery, Tehya Roberts and Jonah Berrie.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. David Koon officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
