Hazel Evans

Hazel Evans of Babson Park passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 15, 1920 in Winston County, Alabama to the late Daniel Richard & Rosa Belle (Pulliam) Montgomery; she moved from Fort Lauderdale to Babson Park in 1969. She was a homemaker and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Evans in 2006. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda & Louie Boggs of Winter Haven; son, Wade Evans of Lake City; sisters, Ester Holcombe of Holly Pond, AL, Bennie Pennington of Memphis, TN, Pernie Hester of Memphis, TN, Alice Best of Smithville, MS and Tula Hollingsworth of Aberdeen, MS; one grandson, Wade Elliott Evans and two great-granddaughters, Ava Evans and Victoria Evans.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating.
