Harry Mitchell Tolson, Jr

Harry Mitchell Tolson, Jr. of Babson Park passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Lake Wales Medical Center. He was born April 7, 1937 in Babson Park to the late Harry & Mattie Tolson; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a self-employed residential contractor, a member of the Up at the Cross Church and served in the U.S. Army. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking and could make anything, including furniture for his home. Harry was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Lewis, Bea Hickman and Jan Hartung; and one brother, Carroll Tolson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara J. Tolson; son, Mitch Tolson of Vero Beach; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 and the funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Todd Rickman officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
