Harold J. Robinson

Harold J. Robinson of Lake Wales passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born January 15, 1931 in Clifford, MI to the late Henry and Mildred (Bradley) Robinson; and has been a resident of this area since 1973 coming from Flint, MI. He was a farmer, a former security guard for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. and Chalet Suzanne, and a grounds keeper for Chalet Suzanne. Harold attended First Assembly of God, and was a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved Nascar, and horse racing.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Thomas in 2007. Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Humbert of Haines City, FL; son, Jerome "Bobby" Thomas, and wife Sheila of Lakeland, FL; sisters, Reita Maxfield, and husband Arnold of Attica, MI/Dade City, FL, and Nancy Pumphrey of Zephyrhills, FL; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nieces, and three nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:00 PM.
