Harold Maynard Martin

Harold “Bill” Martin, 75, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on May 6, 1939 in Lincolnton, Georgia to the late Maynard and Thelma (Goldman) Martin and has been a resident of this area for 55 years moving here from Georgia. He was retired from Publix as an assistant manager. Harold was the Past Exalted Ruler of the Lake Wales Elks Lodge, charter member of the Moose Lodge, Lake Wales Masonic Lodge, Bowling Hall of Fame, and bowling was his passion. Harold was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Ally and sister, Helen Calloway.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Martin; son, Steven Harold Martin; sister, Doris Martin Inglett of Thomson, GA; son n law, Zahir Ally of Kissimmee; grandchildren, Kelvin Mathes, Tyler Mathes, Amanda Black and Allison Black; 14 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. James Martin officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00pm until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barneys Dream Park.
