LAKE WALES -- Mr. Harold Everett Hashman of Lake Wales died of heart failure Wednesday (June 7, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 84.

Born in Indianapolis on Oct. 21, 1921, he came to Lake Wales from there four years ago. He was a sales representative for Pitney Bowes. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served at Pearl Harbor. He was a life member of American Legion Post No. 410 in Whitestown, Ind. He was a Protestant.

Mr. Hashman is survived by his wife, Rita Hashman; daughter, Karen Sue Bryant, Milledgeville, Ga.; son, David M. Hashman, Arvada, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
