Harold Louis Adams, 73, of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Bartow Regional Medical Center.

Born April 20, 1934 in Montour Falls, NY; he was a retired music and 5th grade teacher for Southern Tioga School System. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in music and graduated from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York with a Master’s degree in elementary education. He was a member and the choir director for Sun Ray United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Alaska to visit family; he cared for and was concerned for children all his life.

Survivors include his sister, Helen Kristiansen and husband, Sigurd, of Wasilla, Alaska; nieces & nephews, Sarah Kristiansen; Karen Ballard and husband, Phil; Joy Gifford and husband, Kevin; Dan Kristiansen and wife, Marie; Karsten Kristiansen and wife, Amy; 14 grandnieces and nephews and 1 great-grandniece.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Sun Ray United Methodist Church in Frostproof. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Montour Falls Methodist Church Organ Fund in Montour Falls, NY or the Sun Ray United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 316 Raymond Avenue, Frostproof, FL 33853.
